If you have already seen our Pen and Ink Tutorial, be sure to watch that as well.We will have a full colour watercolour tutorial coming soon which includes the tutorial for combining Pastel Pencils with Watercolour so stay tuned for that! Also this week we have had a couple of "Questions of the Week".Pam writes - I like doing little birds , I have lots in my garden, do I HAVE to do the background last????? Every time I try I make a horrible mess and then ruin my little bird that I have put so much work into, I have done them the opposite way around and don’t have as much trouble, I do have to be careful not to smudge the background when I am doing the birds. Can I use off white or the beige colour paper you recommend and occasionally not colour background at all?.... Is that a “done”thing?- We have answered Pam's Question on our Ask Colin page which can be found by clicking here! Also, Paulette Asks:I am really enjoying your art instructions! I would like to know something. I downloaded the Ballarina but I drew from the Ballarina line drawing instead of using that particular outline and when I drew it I made her face turn another way and changed the way she looked. I want to know since I did that can I copy right it as my own since mine own since she looks different (face angle and facial features)- Again, Colin's Answer can be found on the Ask Colin Page.If you would like to see our old Archived Questions of the Week, visit our Question Archive by clicking here. That's it for this week, be sure to check out our Weekly Blog for updates on what's being added to the site regularly.
