Lisa has sent me her painting of the "Walk in the Autumn Mist" project and has asked for some feedback. This really was a tricky subject and Lisa has done very well to achieve such a high standard. How To Increase The Contrast In Your Paintings | Landscape Pastel PencilThe colour of the dog should have a stronger contrast to allow it to stand away from the trees. The strength of the branches are ok but the foliage needed to be stronger so that these branches are not so obvious. Lisa has include a little shadow under the man and woman but this needed to be longer and stronger (see red arrow). The two forward trees on the right could be strengthened as at the moment they do weaken the overall effect (see the blue arrows). To learn how to draw this subject and follow Colin's videos, join our membership programme for just £5.99 per month.
